"Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
These are the words of Jesus Christ to all of us....
The world is full of toils
and troubles from all sides, fear, anxiety, turmoil, need, and endless worries.
The Lord knows that "the whole world lies in the hands of the wicked one." (1 John 5:19).
The Lord knows that we will grow weary on the way, we will grow tired, and there will come a time when our strength will fail and we will not be able to complete the journey.
He is the one who said: "In the world you will have tribulation; but take heart, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33).
Jesus Christ is God. "Great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh." (1 Timothy 3:16).
Jesus Christ is the only one who said:
Come to me and I will give you rest.
But unfortunately we do not believe that Jesus Christ is the source of rest.
The Lord is true to His word.
But how do we come to the Lord?
How do we go to the source of rest?
Do we take these steps??
If we want to get rest, we must take these steps!!!!
First: The Lord said, "Come to me," and this requires us to go first to our closet, close the door, pray, bow down, shed our tears, and throw our burdens completely at His feet.
And we say to the Lord, "You alone are the source of my comfort. You said, 'Come to me, and I will give you rest.'"
Second: "We must fix our eyes on the Lord so that we may see things from God's perspective. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you." (2 Chronicles 20:12).
Third: We must utter words of thanks and positive talk about the problem we face and declare good about it.
"Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life," (Psalm 23:6).
We thank and declare goodness
The opposite of the reality we see
We say: I thank you, O Lord, all my affairs will be for good.
Fourth: We must establish our hearts with faith and believe that the Lord hears us
"The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." (Psalm 145:18).
Fifth: We will get rest when we move and hear the word of the Lord on the mouths of his servants and when we praise and sing.
"The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation" (Psalm 118:14).
Sixth: We must remember that the Lord sometimes allows troubles because it is the only way for Him to communicate with us.
The Lord longs to hear our voices....The Lord is able to give us strength and revive us.
"You who have shown us troubles, both great and sore, will revive us again; You will bring us up again from the depths of the earth." (Psalm 71:20).
The Lord hears us, we just have to believe and enter His rest.
"Know then that the Lord has set apart the godly. The Lord hears when I call upon Him." (Psalm 4:3).
